Holiday trash & recycling pickup schedule?

Does anyone know if trash and recycling pickup will be delayed during the holiday week? Trying to figure out when to put my bins out. Thanks!

Great question, Margaret! From last year, the city usually shifts pickup one day later during holiday weeks. Check the Sanitation page on the city site — they post the holiday calendar by mid-November. You can also call 555-0147 ext. 3 for exact dates.

Thanks for asking! This is the City's Sanitation Department. Our holiday schedule:

Thanksgiving week: pickup moves one day later (Friday).
Christmas & New Year: regular Monday–Friday schedule.

The email reminders from the city are super helpful! I signed up two years ago and haven't missed a pickup since. Highly recommend it instead of trying to remember manually.
